Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County has implemented changes in management of grasslands in parks, road sides and green spaces over the past years to create or maintain high diversity wildflower meadows. It is important to monitor if the new management regime is going to encourage the species that are of conservation interest. Knowledge on the current floristic composition will allow us to assess in the future how the conservation interest has changed over time. Furthermore, the knowledge of the botanical composition of these meadows can be used to explain their conservation interest to the public
