Welcome to ECOBROKER!

ECOBROKER is a free service where ECOBROKER participants can post new research ideas and contact other participants

To become a participant you must fill out the new user registration form.

Please ensure your email address has been entered correctly. Once you submit your registration you will receive an email informing you that your sign-up will be approved by the ECOBROKER administrator within 2-3 business days. If you didn’t receive an email after the registration please email the ECOBROKER administrator. Be sure to check your spam folder first. The email you receive will be from WorldPress (wordpress@ecobroker.ucd.ie).

Once your registration has been approved, you receive a username and password which you can use to login to the ECOBROKER website.

 

Once logged in, a new shortcuts bar will appear at the top of the page. The ECOBROKER button will take you to the WordPress Dashbord. To post a research idea you click the “+New” button on the shortcuts bar.

If you want to post a research idea:

Once you are logged in, you can click on Create Post on the Research Ideas page.

You can click the “+New” button on the shortcuts bar to post a new research idea.

Alternatively, if you click on the word ECOBROKER button located which will take you to the WordPress Dashboard. Click the Posts button on the leftmost column. This window will show you all the previous posts. It will allow you to create and edit your own posts.

New posts will appear this webpage once they have been approved by the ECOBROKER administrator.

Click on Add New to create your new post (the window below appears). Write a title and a short description of the research idea.

On the left hand side you have the ‘Categories’ and ‘Tags’. The Categories allow us to classify research ideas by geographic location, the ‘Tags’ according to the ECOBROKER categories.

When you finished your post, please click on the blue Submit and Review button located on the rightmost column.

After you submitted the status of your post is going to switch to ‘Pending’. The ECOBROKER administrator will approve your post within the next 2-3 business days. Once approved your post will be visible publicly on the ECOBROKER website.

If you want to edit it again enter the Post menu on the WordPress ribbon again (by clicking on ECOBROKER at the top of the website and then on Posts as described above) and you can see your posts by clicking on ‘Mine’. Then you can edit the post.
